Where to Buy Bongbong's Piaya in Manila

Where to buy piaya in ManilaOur buyers browsing through our shop usually ask this question. Most of the time, they are pressed with time for travel so they can no longer wait for the shipment if they buy online. Usually they bring piaya (a popular Bacolod delicacy) as pasalubong from the Philippines.

Actually, there’s really no Bongbong’s branch in Manila as of now. But there are some distributors selling in supermarkets and in NAIA 3 terminal.

For supermarkets, we often find selected Bongbong’s products in SM and Robinson’s supermarket, in the Philippine delicacies or pasalubong aisle. Most of the time we see plain piaya, ube piaya, biscocho, bañadas and toasted muffins.

Another popular Bacolod delicacy brand available in the supermarkets is Merzci Pasalubong. They also have similar products like piaya, biscocho and toasted muffins. Unfortunately, flavored tarts and butterscotch are not usually sold in supermarkets because their shelf life is only about a month.

Another store in Manila where you can buy piaya is at Market Market in Taguig. It is just in front of SM Aura. We were surprised to see that there’s actually a huge area just for pasalubong from the different regions in the country, from as far as Mindanao! It is really a one-stop shop for Filipino delicacies. It’s like touring the country in just a few minutes!

In Market Market, aside from piaya, sometimes, there are also butterscotch and flavored tarts available like the cheese tart, mango tart, and caramel tart. However, the selections are actually limited given the short shelf life of these products.

And lastly, you will also find Bongbong’s piaya in a pasalubong stall at the NAIA 3 terminal. There are also many pasalubong treats from all over the country in this stall. However, it would be a challenge to fit them in your already full and heavy luggage!

How about the price you may ask.  Their price range is about the same except for the airport price. Obviously, it’s a prime location for travelers. In supermarkets and at Market Market, the piaya with 10 pieces in a pack is about P75-85 per pack and P135 at the airport. They may also be available in SM and Robinson's supermarkets outside Manila. The price range is P85-90.

So yes, Bongbong’s piaya is also available in Manila. But just a tip — it would be better if you call the store ahead and check the products’ availability before heading to the stores!

Also, just a note — we are not affiliated with these stores. We don’t get commission of any kind when you buy from them. We are just sharing the information with you :)
